How Calyx Partners with You

1. Create baseline: We work with you to create a baseline of your current overall environmental impact, organizational structure, communication, purchasing, and decision-making. To do so, some of the tools we use include:
   • Written assessment
   • In-person meetings
   • Site visit (photos, observation, walk through)
   • Analysis of bills
   • Carbon footprint analysis
2. Assess objectives and barriers: Calyx works with you to determine organizational objectives and targets, as well as barriers preventing you from fully achieving your objectives.
3. Create an environmental management system: Based on the baseline and objectives/barriers assessment, Calyx works with you to build an environmental management program which includes an environmental policy with revised objectives, targets and performance measures, and a method for monitoring progress.
4. Develop cross-disciplinary structure and strategies: Working with managers, staff, and owners, we help you develop cross-disciplinary work teams and short, medium and long-term implementation strategies.
5. Implement the chosen strategies: We work with you to implement and use evaluation tools throughout the process, including illustrative case studies and field trips where appropriate.
6. Evaluate the overall process: To ensure a closed loop learning process, Calyx evaluates the overall process and metrics to help you learn from the experience and make adjustments where necessary, ensuring continuous improvement.
